Care

All materials are lead-free, non-toxic and food safe, with the except of the gold luster finish which is only used on the outside of vessels where it won't come into contact with food.

Our clay and glaze is low-fire and finished pieces are best preserved by hand-washing with a mild detergent, and wiping dry with a soft cloth; avoid putting these pieces in an automatic dishwasher,  oven or microwave.

We are a small, Seattle-based studio, constructing hand-built ceramic vessels. Attention is given to the forming and finishing of every piece; no two vases or lidded jars are the same.

In a global market where many things are machine-made, we take tremendous delight in creating objects that have inherent warmth, irregularity and authentic uniqueness.

And whether these become part of a daily food ritual, are used to hold bunches of flowers, matches and incense, or stand as objects of interest on a shelf, the work is meant to be used joyfully.
